About

Mary Paghamini James

Mass Communication graduate with First Class Honours and experience across media, research, digital communication, and public-facing communication.

Professional Background

My experience spans broadcast media, journalism, research, digital communication, customer communication, virtual assistance, and teaching and audience communication.

Through practical engagement with radio stations including IKD 106.1 FM, Eko 89.7 FM, and LASU Radio 95.7 FM, I have gained hands-on experience in program content creation, news writing, interview execution, live broadcast caller management, and social advocacy campaigns.

Complementing my media background, I have supported academic research projects at Landmark University, delivered structured classroom instruction during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployment, and managed client relations and administrative workflows across remote environments.

Research Direction

My academic work and research focus explore the nexus of climate change communication, digital media, TikTok, pro-environmental behavior, AI journalism, algorithms and news content, environmental communication, and environmental storytelling. I am particularly interested in how media platforms and emerging technologies shape public understanding of critical social and environmental challenges.
